Mr. Cox serves as General Manager at Long Ridge Energy Terminal. He has been associated with the site for over 30 years.
Prior to Long Ridge Energy was employed by Center Port Terminal, he held the position of Real Estate & New Business Development Manager. He was instrumental in starting the process of redeveloping of the site and new business. Mr. Cox was the primary point of contact with local, state and federal agencies.
Prior to joining Center Port Terminal, Mr. Cox held various roles at ORMET Aluminum. Ormet produced over a million and half pounds of aluminum per day at the site for over half a century. Ormet was one of the four largest aluminum producers in the United States. As Health, Safety and Security Director, in this role Mr. Cox implemented a comprehensive health and safety program affecting over 1,000 employees, that improved the overall program and reduced injuries. He also managed the nurses and Dr. working in the Urgent Care facility.
As Production Manager responsible for production and the flow of raw materials. Mr. Cox built management teams with a vision for continuing to improve Safety, Modernization and Innovation. In 2002 Ormet operated seven facilities in the United States with over 3,300 employees. In 2002 Mr. Cox was recognized for his accomplishments and involvement of making changes to the process, with resulted to increasing production to over 50,000lb. of additional aluminum per day, which was the biggest accomplishment in Ormet’s history.
