Robert "Bo" Wholey

Bo joined Long Ridge in 2017 as its President, having previously worked as an infrastructure private equity investor and investment banker in New York City at firms including UBS Warburg, Highstar Capital, American Capital and Strata Energy Investments.  Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bo returned to the region to oversee Long Ridge’s redevelopment of the former Ormet Aluminum Smelter site on the Ohio River.  Under Bo’s leadership, Long Ridge has achieved numerous milestones including (i) raising nearly $600 million of project financing for the construction of a 485 MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant (ii) entering into several long-term, fixed price power sales agreements, (iii) vertically integrating the power plant’s natural gas supply, (iv) selling 50% of the company and forming a partnership with GCM Grosvenor and (v) establishing a plan to transition the power plant’s fuel source to hydrogen, which will initially reduce and ultimately eliminate carbon emissions. Bo graduated from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and was the Captain of the Varsity Ski Team.
