Ken Brandes
Chief Investment Officer
Ken Brandes is Chief Investment Officer for Long Ridge and joined the company in 2025. Ken is responsible for evaluating potential growth projects and strategic partnerships, leading project-related fundraising efforts, managing the company’s lender and investment banking relationships, and ensuring the efficient deployment of capital.
Ken has spent close to 30 years in the energy sector as an advisor, investor and operating company executive. Prior to joining Long Ridge, he served as a Senior Advisor to the energy team at Alvarez & Marsal, a global management consulting firm, with a focus on M&A advisory and corporate performance improvement for energy infrastructure and energy transition clients. Ken was an investment banker for close to 20 years, beginning his banking career in the M&A group at Salomon Brothers, which eventually became Citigroup, and was a Managing Director at Truist Securities (f.k.a, SunTrust), leading the firm’s midstream investment banking business. Ken also spent close to ten years on the buyside of the energy business as a member of the infrastructure team at Macquarie Capital, lead investment principal for Brookfield’s U.S. energy infrastructure fund, and Director of M&A at a Riverstone Holdings energy logistics company. Ken began his career as an M&A attorney in New York with the law firm of Weil Gotshal & Manges. Ken received his B.A. in Economics and English from the University at Albany and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
